7" High Brightness Display for EV Charging Station

Project Background

A charging station manufacturer was developing a new EV charging terminal designed for outdoor public infrastructure.

The system required a 7-inch high brightness display to ensure clear visibility under direct sunlight.

Technical Challenge

The customer faced several challenges:

• Strong sunlight affecting display visibility

• Outdoor environment with wide temperature range

• High reliability requirement for 24/7 operation

• Protection against dust and moisture

Our Solution

Xingyue Technology developed a 7-inch high brightness TFT LCD module with the following features:

• 1200 nits sunlight-readable LCD

• Optical bonding to improve contrast and reduce reflection

• Industrial-grade components for wide temperature operation

• Customized display interface for charging system integration

Validation Result

The module successfully passed environmental testing including:

• High temperature: 70°C operation

• Low temperature: -30°C storage

• Long-term stability test

• Outdoor visibility verification

Mass Production Status

The display solution entered mass production in 2023 and has been deployed in several EV charging station projects.
